If this happens, simply remove the old icon from your dock. Note: If you had a previous version of SPSS installed, you may have an additional dock icon for SPSS. You can also choose to add it to your dock.

Once the installation is completed, you can launch it via Launchpad or the Applications folder. Click InstallВ to acknowledge and proceed with the installation.

Note: If you have a previous version of SPSS installed, it will beВ removed.В Only the application will be removed, not your data.

Locate the FeaturedВ tab, then click InstallВ under the SPSS 28В icon.

Open the Self ServiceВ application by clicking the icon in your dock, or by opening a Finder window and clicking on the Applications folder.

Your copy of SPSS 28 is now fully licensed and ready to use. Several results may appear be sure to choose IBM SPSS StatisticsВ (with no other terms) in order to launch the application. Click on the search bar and search again for SPSS.

Once activation is successful, a new screen will appear with a summary of Installed licenses indicating that activation is complete.

(Note: the window may freeze for some time as the license is activated.)

Enter your 20-character activation code, which was emailed to you by EdIT, then click Next.

Click Next to proceed to the next screen, then select Authorized User License and click Next.

The License Authorization Wizard will appear and indicate that you have no licenses.

Select OK when asked if you want to allow this application to make changes to your computer.

YouвЂ™ll be prompted to authorize the software.

Search for SPSS in the Start Menu, then click to start.

Now that Installation is complete, you need to launch SPSS and license the software.

Click Install and wait for the installation to complete.

If not, search for SPSS and click the icon. SPSS may appear in the newВ section at the top of the window.

Click on the search bar and typeВ Software to bring up Software Center, then click to launch.

You can then open SPSS Statistics as normal. There will then be a Licensing Complete summary screen that will show the new expiration date for the licence.

As long as the code was entered correctly, you should then see a screen with 'Authorization succeeded' in green text.Д¬lick the 'Next' button again. It is recommended that you copy and paste the code directly from your email into this screen.ДЄfter you have entered the code and clicked 'Next' it will then verify with IBM that it is valid. On the next screen, please carefully enter the licence key information that you were directly emailed. On the Product Authorization Screen, select 'Authorized user license (I purchased a single copy of the product)' This should then show details of your current licence information, or if it's already expired, it'll state that no license is available.

To update your licence keys for both applications please open 'IBM SPSS License Authorization Wizard' for SPSS Statistics and 'Amos License Authorization Wizard' for Amos.Д«oth applications have the same process to update the licence details. If you have installed SPSS via the Software Centre on a University Managed PC, you do not need to take any action and the licence will automatically be renewed remotely.ДЄll registered users of SPSS Statistics and SPSS Amos, as downloaded from the Home Software Hub and installed on a non-University managed PC, are automatically sent the new keys during the final month of the licence registration.

The University re-licence SPSS annually with all previous licence keys expiring in July each year.
